About Us

The Campus Salon was established in 2009 by Katie Poff and Katie Birchfield. Our mission is to provide quality services and products that enhance our clients professional and personal appearance, while being well located to benefit campus life.

Katie Poff has been in the cosmetology industry for over ten years and has been an independent contractor with a large, loyal, established customer base. She was previously working within a half-mile of the university.

Katie Birchfield is a graduate from UNC Charlotte with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Womens Studies. She has years of business experience including receptionist, organizational skills, and office management.

The Campus Salon will be managed in a creative and innovative fashion with high levels of customer and employee satisfaction. The Campus Salon is located in room 125 in the Student Union on campus. The Student Union will provide students with a location for extracurricular activities such as movie theaters and dining options that will service campus life. Our salon will offer exceptional, convenient service. Salon training will be provided for the stylist. This will grow their skills and improve their product knowledge. We will as well offer campus and student incentives. We plan on offering in the future, from our profits, as a scholarship to students and an internship program through the department of business.
